She was introduced to the game of poker in 2005 when she was selected to be one of five 'Poker Virgins' on Channel 5's "Ultimate Poker Showdown". During the filming of the show she decided to try her hand at a real live poker tournament, and ended up winning the first one she ever entered, beating 124 other runners at the Gutshot club in London.

In early 2008 Liv undertook coaching with Annie Duke. Her training certainly helped, as just two days after she won a tournament at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas, and two months later won the European Ladies title.

In May 2009 Liv joined team Ultimatebet as one of their professional players and will be representing them in tournaments around the world.
